I'm getting this bad boy as an anniversary present from Audrey, I'm stoked! It's the Canon EF-S 17-85mm with image stabilizer. Funny that I'm getting image stabilizer on my smaller lens and don't have it on my 75-300mm, but I'm excited to test it out! Much better reviews than the 18-55mm that I've used for 4 years, it came stock with the Rebel XT. I'll be sure to post my first shots as soon as I get it!

It has arrived! Along with a long overdue lens hood for my 75-300mm and a remote shutter release.
ReplyDeleteI put a Hoya UV multi-coated filter on the 17-85mm, I'm excited to see the results (compared to the cheap filters I usually use). I can already tell that the range of this lens is going to be very fun to shoot with. My first test: French Alps!
